Marmo Gallery is pleased to present Portraits of the Pacific Northwest, a solo exhibition of paintings by Shelton-based artist Annie Jones.

Working in pastel and oil, Jones paints landscapes and waterways of the Pacific Northwest. Forest paths, working harbors, open fields, and coastal shorelines appear throughout the exhibition, reflecting her ongoing engagement with the environments of Western Washington. Her work shows careful attention to light, color, and atmosphere, creating images rooted in the character of the region.

Join us on Friday, March 20, from 4–6 PM for the exhibition opening.

About the Artist

Annie Jones (Shelton, WA) works primarily in pastel and oil painting and has enjoyed making art since a young age. In her late teens and early twenties she focused on oil painting while also exploring acrylic and watercolor. Around 2002, she began working in pastel, which quickly became one of her favorite mediums. She continues to study and take classes and also teaches pastel painting, encouraging others to explore this uniquely expressive medium.
