A Year in Bloom: Zinnia

This hot-weather workhorse won’t leave you wanting for blooms. Once you get to know zinnias, you’ll never be without a flower in the peak of summer. New color families are bringing modern touches to the classic backyard beauty, and we’ll design with some enchanting locally grown varieties. You’ll leave this class with a beautiful flower arrangement and knowledge about how to grow zinnias as well as how to arrange them successfully.

Classes will be held at Marmo (217 W Cota St, Shelton, WA 98584). Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

A Year in Bloom is a program led by Megan Homewood from House Flowers. Every month, Megan will lead a class where you can explore each flower species through an immersive workshop, using unique varieties of locally grown blooms. Ample time to design with flowers of your choice. Floral history and cultivation tips. Arranging notes and design guidance.
