Marmo is pleased to present Transformation, Ritual, Renewal, a group exhibition grounded in the myth of Persephone—her descent into the underworld each autumn, her time below, and her return with the spring. This cyclical movement between worlds speaks to enduring rhythms of change: decay and germination, grief and restoration, endings that fold imperceptibly into beginnings.
The exhibition considers descent not as disappearance, but as a necessary deepening—a gathering of seeds, gestures, and knowledge in the dark. Across painting, drawing, printmaking, assemblage, photography, and textile-based media, the selected artists explore how ritual takes form within the artwork itself: how gestures, marks, and materials hold the residue of transformation, repetition, and renewal.
Together, the works trace the threshold between the symbolic and the physical, the seen and the unseen. They reflect on the body’s memory, the cycles of the natural world, the ritual of repetition, and the unseen labor of renewal.
As the year descends toward winter, Transformation, Ritual, Renewal is a space for reflection on what lives beneath the surface and the slow alchemy of becoming.
